Das Restaurant Landhotel Graf in Obereggenen

Neulich abends war die Markgräflerin mal wieder auswärts essen. Das Landhotel Graf in Obereggenen zählt zu guten, alten Bekannten – allerdings seit kurzer Zeit wieder geöffnet, mit neuem Inhaber. Und die Küche hat uns auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht.
Das Restaurant wirbt mit dem Spruch: „Feinheimische Leckereien aus der Region”. Eine riesige Karte sucht man hier vergeblich – alles frisch und selbst gemacht. Bodenständige aber sehr feine Küche, auf alle Fälle regional und saisonal.
Ich hatte das Tagesgericht, welches auf der Tafel angeschrieben stand: Giezi Ragout = Ragout von der Geiß (weibliche Hausziege) mit Pommes Dauphine Kartoffeln und Speck-Bohnen. Sehr lecker.

Ich hatte bewusst auf eine Vorspeise (Suppe oder Salat) verzichtet, weil ich unbedingt noch eines der Desserts probieren wollte, Zimtparfait mit Zwetschenkompott. Zum Abschluss noch einen Espresso und, da ich an diesem Abend nicht Autofahren musste, noch etwas „Geistiges” – ein Williams-Schnäpsle (Willi).

Der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, es werden auch kleine Gerichte angeboten und für Vegetarier ist auch was dabei.
Rund um Obereggenen, im Eggenertal gibt es übrigens ganz viele Kirschbäume. Meine Empfehlung: Zur Kirschblüte (etwa Mitte April) eine kleine Wanderung unternehmen und im Landhotel Graf einkehren!

The other evening the Markgräflerin was dining out. We went to the „Landhotel Graf” in Obereggenen – to us a good old friend – but it had re-opened only a a short time ago, with a new owner. And the kitchen has once again offered no disappointment.
The restaurant advertises with the slogan : „Fine delicacies from our region“.
Here you will not find huge menu – everything is fresh and homemade. Regional and seasonal food and a very fine cuisine.
I had the daily special , which was written on the blackboard : Giezi = ragout of the doe ( female goat) with pommes dauphine potatoes and bacon beans. Very tasty. I had deliberately avoided a starter (soup or salad ) , because I really wanted to try one of the desserts, cinnamon parfait with plum compote, that was.  To finish there was espresso and since I did not have to drive that evenig, I had something “ spiritual “ – a Williams – Schnaps ( pear Schnaps =“Willi“ ) The service is friendly and courteous, there are also only small dishes offered and vegetarians will also find something they like.
Around Obereggenen, in the Eggenertal (valley) way, there are quite a lot of cherry trees. My recommendation: Go there for the cherry blossom ( about mid- April), take a short hike and stop at the Landhotel Graf !
